From Chania you will get to Falassarna via route E65 driving to the west. The distance from Chania is about 60 km, from Kastelli 16 km and from Platanos 4km.

The ancient town of Falassarna was founded around 5 B.C. Presumably around the 6th century it was destroyed by a large earthquake.
